    Come non segnalare il famoso documentario di History channel sul fumetto americano che abbiamo visto anche in italiano sulla rete LA7?
    Purtroppo su You tube ho trovato solo la versione in inglese, se qualcuno di voi sa come reperire anche solo pezzi di quella in italiano è pregato di segnalarlo.

But the superheroes weren't doing good as most superheroes were cancelled and the interest changed to funny animals, teen comedies, westerns, gangsters & horror stories. After a lawsuit which led Siegel & Shuster to be fired for their Superman creation, the industry gets under by the U.S. Senate thanks to Dr. Fredric Wertham which leds to the Comics Code Authority. The restrications from the CCA made many publishers close down and the writers/artists losing their jobs. This creates the decline of comic books.

    Questo autore è assorto all'olimpo dei fumettisti italiani per la sua breve e folgorante carriera (ha pubblicato su Linus e Frigidaire, famoso il suo personaggio "Zanardi") e anche per la sua breve vita travagliata. Ma al di là della mitizzazione, Pazienza era davvero un artista, questi due video lo testimoniano chiaramente, buona visione!

    Su segnalazione del sito afNews ho scoperto l'esistenza di HERO, un'associazione di appassionati di fumetto americani che danno lavoro ai fumettisti più anziani che sono ancora in grado di disegnare. Un'iniziativa meritevole, considerato che anche i più grandi fumettisti hanno problemi di sostentamento nel periodo del pensionamento.

    Ecco qui Alex Ross (disegnatore di "Kingdom Come", famoso per essere un fumettista che gioca molto sull'effetto realistico con i suoi acquerelli) che con una musica epica di sottofondo si da da fare su una delle sue illustrazioni. Da notare le foto di riferimento, come stenda prima tutti i mezzitoni al momento della china, poi metta il colore.

    Ecco una serie di documentari che non potete perdere. Li vidi tempo fa su "la storia siamo noi" di Minoli su Rai Educational e ne rimasi piacevolmente colpita. I documentari ci parlano, anche tramite gli autori, del fumetto italiano.
